your fall harvest? brought to you (in part) by BEES! ๐๐๐
from pumpkins to apples, some of our favorite seasonal foods get a helping hand from these hardworking little pollinators!
๐ pumpkins & winter squash: bees transfer pollen between male and female flowers, allowing these fall favorites to develop. no pollination, no pumpkins!
๐ apples & pears: bees carry pollen between blossoms, helping trees produce the crisp, juicy fruits we love each fall!
๐
tomatoes: tomato flowers can pollinate themselves, but bumblebees give them a little buzz! their vibrations shake pollen loose, helping improve fruit production.
๐ fun fact: while weโre enjoying these delicious fall harvests, much of the beesโ hard work happened months ago, when the plants were flowering!
small wings. BIG impact. ๐
