❄️ We’re proud to introduce our 2026 Winter Art Series artists, Lisa and Lori Lubbesmeyer, and their original mixed-media painting, “Then and Now,” celebrating the Old Mill District’s 25th anniversary!

After 17 years creating in their Old Mill District studio, the twin sisters have drawn on their memories, observations and love for this place to bring its past and present together.

If you’re new to our Winter Art Series, each year we commission an original artwork to bring our winter campaign to life. This marks our 10th year, and a special return for Lisa and Lori, who helped launch the series in 2017 🫶

We’re so excited to share their vision with you! “Then and Now” will be on display in their studio all winter long. Swing by to see it up close, discover the little details and say hello to Lisa and Lori. 🤍

Meet Mark Seekins ✨ One of the newest artists to join The Stacks Art Studios & Gallery!

Before pursuing art full time, Mark spent nearly four decades as an ordained minister. His path has since taken him from Austin to Central Oregon, where the landscapes and outdoor lifestyle surrounding his Sisters home inspire much of his work.

Using traditional linocut techniques, Mark carves each design by hand before inking and pressing it onto paper. His talents have even reached the world of Westeros: Mark created the original linocut prints used for the covers of all five newly redesigned Game of Thrones novels.

Step inside his studio and hear more about the printmaking process. Then, meet Mark and see his work in person this Friday during First Friday in the Old Mill District!

Time to boogie, Bend! 🕺✨ Kiln Bend is opening its doors to the entire community for a complimentary grand opening celebration on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6-10 p.m. Come dance, connect with neighbors and enjoy live music, a DJ, local food and drinks, a ribbon cutting, confetti cannons and plenty of good energy.
