Another beautiful morning on lake Billy chinook with Little Captain’s Fishing Adventures

Limits and happy clients make for a great day!
Hot set ups were orange pink and purple Little Captains Kokanee Tackle dodgers with krill bugs and micro shrimp!

Speed:
1.2-1.3 was the ticket today!

Depth:
Long lining with little captains longline system
3 oz 70-85’ back
4 oz 40-60’ back

Colors:
Pink, orange, black and purple but orange got really hot as the soon came out and finished strong!

Location:
Several places on the lake are fishing good including right out from the Main crooked river boat ramp!

Fishing is still great and will only get better and next years fish are already growing fast!
They will be very nice size by the end of October leading into next spring and summer!
Cutting deep red and phenomenal table fare!

Bull trout will start to pick up soon as well!

Lake Billy chinook fishing report 9/1/26
Little captains tackle was 🔥

We launched at 6:30 am
Slower bite first thing in the morning at about 8 it got really good and then it was game on once we found what they wanted!
Boated 40 in 2 hours from 8-10
Speed was important today much faster troll at 1.2-1.4 mph
Depth 40-50
Hot colors started out with pink and orange and ended with chartreuse and purple
They wanted small presentations today
Krill bugs, hoochie and shrimp
Our new crystal flash dodgers were hot
Purple moon jelly pink blue and green yellow
We caught a 15 plus inch slab of a Kokanee today the biggest i have got all year
Fishing will continue to get better and fish good into next year

Launched the boat at 6 am, chilly and breezy this morning.
Fishing was hot with doubles and triples, 20 in the box in no time!
We also caught a nice bonus bull trout!
Some very nice fat 15” Kokanee today mixed in!

Speed:
1.2mph was the key

Depth
40-60 feet is where the fish are

Longline:
3 oz 80-85 feet
4 oz 60 feet

Dodgers:
Little Captains Kokanee Tackle elite dodgers in Purple, orange and pink.

Lures:
Little captains tackle krill bugs, shrimps and flies in purple, orange and pink.

Corn:
White shoepeg soaked in tuna garlic and shrimp

Location:
Right by the first boat ramp

Fish are super nice and healthy
Running 30 to 50 feet deep speed was 1.2 mph colors were purple chartreuse, orange and pink our new crystal flash Dodgers were on fire paired with our krill Bugs shrimp and flies.
