Flowering for the Benicia Arts Festival was such an incredible experience.

My friend Eleanor, , and I collaborated on one piece, and I created a second using flowers she selected for me. I always love when Eleanor chooses blooms on my behalf—she has a trained eye, and her palettes continually stretch and inspire me as an artist. Every stem was locally sourced from her farm or from the incredible growers of .

This was an emotional week, and creating with flowers felt both healing and grounding. As much as I’ve stepped back from floral design, I don’t think I’ll ever truly let it go. Flowers are woven into the fabric of who I am, and I’m forever grateful for the people, opportunities, and experiences they’ve brought into my life.

What a journey. 🌿

Happy Mother’s Day!

I built Rill the year I got fired. The year I finally noticed I’d been moving so fast I’d forgotten what kind of mother I actually wanted to be.

This Mother’s Day is Rill’s first.
It’s also the first one where I’m not running across a tarmac somewhere or unloading flowers from a van at 5am.
I’m here. With my kids. In the store I built so I could be.

Thank you to every one who came in this week and trusted me to find something for their mom.
To the woman who came back three times before she decided.
To the one who bought something for herself.
To the ones who just came in to say hello.

This is the store I always wanted to build.
It’s also part of the life I’m finally building on purpose.

Happy Mother’s Day. Especially the ones quietly rebuilding everything.
