For those you you who are hung up on what charlie kirk said about of the second amendment being worth the cost of a few gun deaths. You should see the whole unedited segment. Watch it in full. If you arent willing to do so then ill simplify it. He first says that automotive deaths are 50k per year but as a collective we deem it to be worth the cost, hes off by a few k in the study i found but its a few years old. So ill go ahead and post some articles from the cdc to back this up. And ill add that gun deaths are slightly higher but they include su***de and accidental death not just homicide, the studies I found were from 2022 for both so its an even comparison. If you read both and still feel that what he said has no merit then you might just be part of the problem. If you cant sit and watch the full 8 minutes of his actual response. You ARE the problem. I said what I said. You dont have to like it.

Today we remember one of the most significant acts of terror the world has ever known. We honor our fallen citizens and heroes. To the men and women who perished in the towers and below. May we never forget and never allow it again.

Sorry for the late post but I really wanted to take my time to find what I wanted to say.
The attack on Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul resulting in the death of 13 service members 10 of whom were United States Marines is a tragedy. It is painful on a scale that is unmatched for the families of the victims. I understand that some people are claiming that this is what they signed up for. That they knew the risks when they enlisted and shipped out. They are not wrong. But that knowledge does not change the severity or the depth of the loss. The families will never be whole again. They will never know justice. They will always be burdened with the what if... Those heroes that dont come home. They are the ones we honor and remember. They are the ones we will always try to live up to.
For those who sacrifice all we must all sacrifice some.

Many will try to make this political. It is not.
Many will try to down play this. It cannot be.
Many will say we didnt belong there. We did.
Many will say we failed our servicemen. We did.
And we will continue to fail them with every breath that the enemy breaths.

I hope that every person who reads this will pease take a moment to remember our fallen. To honor them even if only for a moment. They deserve much more than that. This is the least that we can do. And I hope that anyone who has lost a loved one to an act of terrorism wether stateside or abroad wild find some sense of solice in the knowledge that we, as a nation mourn with you though it is differently than you for we can never feel the same level of grief that you must endure. God bless you and your loved ones and remember that we patriots will never forget the sacrifices of your families.

Today we remember our Fallen soldiers. Our Real life Heroes. Our Sons and Daughters. Our Fathers and Mothers. Our Brothers and Sisters. Our Friends and our Unknowns. We Honor the Fallen and we Celebrate the Sacrifice they made for us. The ultimate sacrifice. They are the ones who never came home. Some physically. Some mentally. So today on this Memorial day i thank my fallen brothers and sisters. For those who served and sacrificed all for us. We salute them and will never forget.
