Hey, Natural Soap Lovers. have you ever been curious about what Cold Process Soap is?
What do we use in our soaps?
A blend of Saponified oils ( Sustainable Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil), Canola oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, fragrance oils, Kaolin Clay, Skin safe colorants(micas and oxides.
What is Cold Process Soap?
Cold process soap is a natural blend of Saponified oils like the ingredients mentioned above. It is a science too, a chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide and fats/oils to become soap. No soap on the market can be made without sodium hydroxide all my soaps are balanced and have no traces of sodium hydroxide in the finished product.
Does Cold Process Soap need to cure?
This soap process is definitely the slowest methods. It takes usually around 4-6 weeks in proper drying conditions before a bar can be used. Why does it take so long to use the soap? The soap has to dry and harden creating a harder longer lasting soap bar.
Should I use a soap dish for my soap bar?
Yess, definitely a bar soap will last longer if it dries in-between uses. Using a soap dish will keep your soap from getting soggy. Don't let it sit in a puddle of water in your shower or bathroom sink it will disintegrate alot faster, use a soap dish.:)
