Each year, we try to come up with a little special somethin’ that honors & incorporates growth, community & of course Filipino culture 🙌🏼🇵🇭

This year, we decided to tie in our Kamayan Tea Parties & have teacups made! But not just any regular ones—each of these teacups were handmade by Darlene of Darlene del Carmen.

We chose the teacup shape to be a “palayok” to include our ancestors, added “Pamana” in baybayin & had the tattoo (of Filipino warrior tattoo symbols) specifically dedicated to Pamana etched on to each piece—swipe to see our wall that incorporates these symbols & a little run down memory lane 🥹

We only had 30 of these pieces made so be sure to grab yourself one ☺️ each purchase will receive Gulaman tea leaves to pair with your teacup ☕️ Exclusively available at the shop THIS Sunday, July 19 | 11:00-Sold Out 🤗

A little history on these palayok teacups:
🌱Palayok: the traditional clay pot used for Filipino cooking
🌱The relationship: Darlene has been connected to us since we first opened. Many ideas of how clay could be incorporated into the shop were shared, and not until now were we able to bring something to life together. Thank you for joining us for the ride, Darlene. We’ve appreciated your support through it all 🫶🏼🥹🇵🇭❤️
🌱The symbol: The tattoo is of waves/water, plants, & energy representing growth, healing, & flowing energy—a big part of my life journey. 3 of each to represent the shop which is shaped in a triangle & to represent Corinthians 3:6-9, the verse used during the shop’s first blessing—chosen by Pastor Ray who took care of my uncle when he passed.

Meet Masaya Kapé ☕️ Inspired by her 93-year-old lola, whose secret to a long life was simply, “Lagi ako masaya” (“I am always happy”), this brand is a reminder to find joy in the little moments—like sharing a cup of coffee with the people you love.

Pamana Plantas is celebrating 5 years of business 🥹 Though it may be a small number to some, these past 5 years have been the most enlightening & empowering. We are so grateful for each step and every phase that has brought us to where we are today 🥲

We wouldn’t have made it here without the support of our community, to those of you who speak our name in spaces of opportunity, and to those of you who believe in our vision.

Spiritually, the number 5 means change, freedom, and curiosity. Of these, change is what resonates the most with us as we move toward what feels more aligned to our vision and mission.

Pamana Plantas exists to help people remember that we’re a part of nature, not separate from it. We’ve evolved from a plant shop into a brand that integrates nature into experiences that allow people to feel connected to themselves, to each other, and to the living world 🌍

But to bring it back to where we started, we’re celebrating with another party! Of course we’ve called on some familiar faces to celebrate with us. We’ve partnered with members of our Filipinx-owned small business community to bring special menus, treats & goods to y’all 🤗

We’ve asked these talented individuals to create something in honor of this milestone & we hope y’all enjoy what we’ve put together.

Keep an eye out for upcoming posts on our collabs, but for now we can tell you Pandan flavors, plant inspired desserts & palayoks will be part of them 🤭

For the third year in a row, we’re honored to host our Mother’s Day Kamayan Tea Party in our cozy little jungle. ☺️🌿✨🌸🫖

This year’s high tea menu is tastefully curated to reflect the flavors of our Filipino culture. We’re featuring some of our favorite dishes/flavors in high tea form including Sinigang (tamarind soup), Turon (caramelized banana & jackfruit), & of course Ube: the purple yam native to the Philippines 💜

We’ve partnered with Pastry Chef Ashley of One Teaspoon of Yum, based in Monterey, California, to bring this experience to life 🙌🏼

We’ll be offering three 75-minute seatings on Mother’s Day:

🌼 11:00 AM • 2:15 PM • 5:30 PM 🌼

Each seating is limited to 14 guests to keep the experience intimate and meaningful.

Each ticket reserves one seat and reflects the time, craftsmanship, and heart of every small business contributing to this gathering.

🌱Your ticket comes with:

• Our Curated Menu

• Choice of 2 teas

• Edible florals & a Custom Floral Place Card with Your Name

• Mini pamaypay (fan) or bayong (straw bag) made in the Philippines

• 2 Edited Photos & 1 Polaroid in front of our living wall

Seats are very limited and this event tends to sell out each year. We recommend reserving early to secure your preferred time. You can reserve your seat via our website or the link in our bio! 😊

🌱 We finally added to our windows after almost 5 years & it feels a little scary but exciting 🥹

🌱 We’ve got more space in the shop & definitely a lot less plants, but we’re lovin’ the new energy ✨

🌱 Our time change is the biggest shift for us & we struggled with this a lot before deciding to do so. We’ve got more time to live life the way that honors our values & that’ll be the constant reminder of why we shifted.
