🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR AMAZING STORE MANAGER, JAMIE! 🎂💕

Today we’re celebrating Jamie Moncada — not only an incredible Store Manager, but also my cousin, my family, and someone I truly couldn’t do this wild ride without. ❤️

Jamie may have officially joined the Scents by the Bay team at the beginning of 2026, but she’s been part of this journey since the days when SBTB was operating out of my garage. She’s seen the dream grow from the very beginning, which makes having her beside me now even more special.

Jamie brings nearly 20 years of leadership and beauty industry experience to our team. A licensed cosmetologist since 2006, she has managed and opened multiple salons and has an incredible gift for taking care of people, developing a team, and making everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome.

But what I love most about Jamie is her heart. ❤️ She has always been someone who shows up for the people she loves. She even helped two families grow through surrogacy, carrying and delivering three beautiful babies — just one example of her generosity, strength, and compassion.

Running a small business is exciting, exhausting, unpredictable, hilarious, stressful, and rewarding—sometimes all in the same day. 😂 Having family beside you who believes in what you’re building makes all the difference.

Jamie, I couldn’t do this wild ride without you. I’m so grateful to have you as our Store Manager, but even more grateful that I get to call you my cousin.

What does LOVE smell like? ❤️

A little behind-the-scenes look at something I’ve been working on…

After more than 20years of blending fragrance, this is still one of my favorite parts of what I do—the quiet process of creating. Measuring. Blending. Smelling. Adjusting. And then doing it all over again until a fragrance finally feels right.

This is me working on my newest Signature fragrance: LOVE.

Every fragrance I create is blended by hand and developed with my nose—not a computer, not an algorithm. Sometimes the smallest adjustment to a single note can completely change the way a fragrance opens, develops, and settles on the skin.

And LOVE? She’s been a journey. ❤️

I’m not quite ready to tell you what’s inside yet…but I will tell you that I wanted this fragrance to capture the many sides of love—beautiful, intimate, comforting, and a little unexpected.

What an incredible day! 🍻✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the Beer Crawl! Seeing Elmwood filled with smiling faces, friends exploring local businesses, and our community coming together was truly something special.
