Some Christmas outings are worth planning around one special evening.

On Friday, November 27, 2026, Berlin’s Ice Ice Berlin & Tree Lighting brings a festive reason to explore this Maryland town after dark.

Beginning at 5 PM, discover more than 30 ice sculptures around town before gathering for the Christmas tree lighting at 6 PM. Make the sculptures your invitation to wander, notice the storefronts, and enjoy an unhurried evening downtown.

Turn the celebration into a weekend by staying for Merry Marketplace on Saturday, November 28. Beginning at 11 AM, the market offers local art, freshly roasted chestnuts, and hot chocolate at the Berlin Welcome Center parking lot.

It’s a lovely combination of a lively Friday evening and a slower Saturday browse.
