🍂 GOODBYE SUMMER, HELLO FALL! 🍂

As we head into September, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers for another busy spring & summer! ❤️🔧

We truly appreciate everyone who trusted us with their equipment, recommended us to friends & family, and continues to support our small business.

A few quick updates & reminders as we head into fall:

🔧 CURRENT WAIT TIME: 1½–2 WEEKS Turnaround may vary depending on the repair & parts availability.

⛽ FRESH FUEL. ALWAYS. Your machine is only as good as the fuel you put in it! If you aren’t sure how old the gas in your can is — don’t put it in your equipment.

❄️ WINTERIZE BEFORE YOU STORE IT. Know you won’t be using a machine for a month or longer? Prepare it for storage! Don’t leave old fuel sitting in it for months.

📞 PLEASE PICK UP COMPLETED EQUIPMENT PROMPTLY. Once you receive your completion call, please make arrangements for pickup as soon as possible. Our space is limited and we cannot store completed equipment for extended periods.

🍁 AND FINALLY — THINK AHEAD! Don’t wait until the first cold day or snowstorm to find out your winter equipment won’t start. Pull it out, add fresh fuel & test it BEFORE you need it!

🚨 PSA FROM YOUR SMALL ENGINE SHOP: STOP PUTTING THE BAD GAS BACK IN! 🚨

We see this ALL. THE. TIME.

Your mower, w**d whacker, chainsaw, generator, etc. comes into our shop because it won’t start or isn’t running properly.

We:
🔧 Clean the carburetor
🧼 Clean the fuel system/tank
⛽ Remove the old or contaminated fuel
✅ Add fresh fuel
✅ Get the machine running properly again

Then you take it home…

…and fill it from the same gas can that was sitting in your garage. 😩

A few days later, our phone rings:

“My machine is running bad again!”

Guys — THE GAS MATTERS.

Small engines are extremely sensitive to old, stale, water-contaminated and ethanol-blended fuel. Gas that seems perfectly fine for your car can cause problems in small-engine fuel systems, especially after it has been sitting.

And remember: the fuel in your gas can ages too. Dumping fresh gas on top of old gas does not magically make the old gas fresh.

Before you refill the machine we just repaired, ask yourself:

👉 How old is the gas in this can?
👉 Has it been sitting for over a month?
👉 Am I sure there isn’t water or contamination in it?
👉 Am I using the right fuel for this equipment?

If you don’t know — don’t put it back into your freshly serviced machine.

You already paid to have the fuel system cleaned. Don’t accidentally start the whole cycle over again.

Fresh machine. Fresh fuel. Every time.

To our amazing customers — thank you for your patience during one of the busiest seasons we’ve ever experienced at Albertsons Engine Service.

First and foremost, this post is NOT meant to scare anyone away from bringing equipment to us. We truly appreciate every customer who supports our small business, and we are continuing to accept repairs and do everything we can to help our community.

We simply want to be honest and transparent about current turnaround times so customers know what to expect before dropping equipment off.

Right now we are receiving a high amount of pieces of equipment dropped off every single day, on top of the large amount already here waiting for service. With several small engine shops in our area closing over the last few years, we are doing our absolute best to help everyone who calls or walks through our doors.

At the moment, repair wait times are running approximately 3–4+ weeks before equipment can even be looked at. We completely understand how frustrating that is when the grass is growing fast and everyone needs their equipment running NOW.

Please know:
• We are not ignoring your machine
• We are not “holding” equipment on purpose
• We are working as fast as humanly possible every day

Currently, our shop is operating with a very small staff while still trying to keep up with overwhelming demand. Skilled small engine mechanics have become extremely hard to find, and trust us, we’ve been searching.

We truly appreciate every customer who continues to support us, recommend us, and remain patient while we work through this season. Your kindness means more than you know.

We promise we are here, we are working hard, and we are doing everything we can to keep South Jersey mowing, trimming, cutting, and running.

Spring is here ☀️ which means mower season has started. 🌱

Just a quick heads up for our customers:

Many people think if they drop their mower off today it will be ready tomorrow… but this time of year we have a lot of equipment coming in. (We wish we could move that fast! Or find more mechanics 😩😢, or have every part for every machine in existence in stock but unfortunately thats just not reality)

🔧 Our typical turnaround time right now is about 2 weeks.

The sooner you bring it in, the sooner you’ll be ready when the grass starts growing fast.

Please plan service accordingly as spring is our busy season
