Kathy’s Front Porch Albums takes the phrase “everything old is new again” to a whole new level. She makes Junk Journals out of old story books, cookbooks, sewing patterns and even old wallets! (Check the pics below for a good explanation of what a junk journal is)Her specialty is creating adorable albums out of those old Golden Books we used to love so much! She also creates one of a kind travel journals, planners and beaded pens. Her box cards do double duty as a greeting card and a gift box and she creates cards for every occasion.

Kathy expects to stay very busy in the coming months. She will be at the Clarke County Parks and Rec Holiday Craft Fair November 7 & 8. And she will be hosting one more workshop before we close on October 21 5:30-8:30. Cost is $15. Send her an email to sign up.

Tom’s Wood Quilt Blocks would be familiar to our regular customers since he has also been with us since the very beginning. Using only hardwood veneers he hand cuts and inlays all of his quilt pattern pieces, including wood blocks, magnets, jewelry, pop-its and other pieces. He also makes some amazing pieces using his lathe and laser with wood and resin. Come into our shop and you’ll find wine bottle stoppers, wine glass holders, bottle openers (we’re seeing a theme here) wood vases, playing card boxes, magnetic wood bowls, sewing implements, and lots and lots of pens.

Tom regularly posts videos of his processes on his instagram page. He does not have any shows scheduled at this time but he expects to be back at the NSVQS Quilt Show in 2028 and the Stone House Quilters Show in Manassas. And if you’re ever near Manassas you can find his work at Calico Jacks in Old Town Manassas.

Rhonda is the artist behind all the macrame creations you’ll find around the shop. She goes well beyond the standard plant hangers. By combining traditional knotting techniques with patterns of her own design, she makes angels, Christmas trees, gnomes, owls, bats, butterflies, jewelry, key chains and stunning wall hangings. She also carries her talent over into work with beads and wire, creating beautiful jewelry pieces, Tree of Life sun catchers and insects (yes, bugs)of EVERY type. Her Christmas spiders, that come with a story and handmade box, are especially popular.

Rhonda plans to take a break from her artwork once the store closes, but we plan to keep in touch with her in hopes that she changes her mind. For now, if it’s in the shop, it’s available. What do you get when you combine paper and wood with a seriously creative mind? Take a look at the pics below. Erin’s works of art are not your standard crafter’s paper flowers. Her designs include very lifelike hydrangeas, sunflowers and more. She makes every single flower by hand (and has glue gun burns to prove it) and adds so many different elements that each piece becomes a piece of fine art

Erin frequently holds classes and attends craft shows but doesn’t have any scheduled at this time. You can follow her page to see where she may pop up in the future. She is always happy to take custom requests and all of her items can be shipped.

If you’ve ever been happily living your life and then suddenly something happens that sends your life in a totally different direction, then you can relate to Mary’s story. You can read her bio in the pics below about a scary diagnosis that lead her to launch Mingle’s Back To Nature. And, wow, are we sure glad she did! Using all natural and safe ingredients, she has created an extensive line of skin care products that include body lotion, deodorant, face creams, soaps, lip balm, bug spray and even laundry soap. She even has beard care products for men. She has a huge following of customers, including many of us at Berryville Treasures an Artisans Boutique.

At this time Mary is unsure where the future of Mingle’s Back to Nature is gonna go after we close, but if you have a favorite product and would like her to set some aside, please reach out to her directly. Many of her products are heat sensitive so she can only ship to certain places and at certain times of year.

Stitch by Stitch is NOT your grandmothers beautiful afghans. Judy has been a mainstay in our shop since the very beginning has elevated knitting and crocheting to a fine art form. Her yarns are carefully selected for their unique colors and luxurious feel. Her sweaters and shawls are exquisite, her gloves and scarves are warm. But it’s the fun and whimsical things she creates that really set her apart. Her character hats and cloche hats sell out almost as fast as she can make them and are often seen around town in the cold weather. Her reusable “water balloons” are very popular in the summertime. Her crocheted necklaces come in every color under the sun. And you’ll even find crocheted pumpkins and sunflowers.

Stop by the shop and look over all she has to offer. Everything you see she is happy to make in a different size or a different color.

If you’ve been in our shop at ANY time in the last 15 years you’ve undoubtedly admired Brenda’s handiwork and likely brought a piece of it home. Not Only Quilts has been an anchor in the shop since the very beginning. She is our seamstress extraordinaire and has on hand everything from quilts, pillows, table runners, aprons, and bowl cozies, to tea towels, baby items, wallets, hats and notebook covers. If it can be made with fabric, she can make it.

Brenda is happy to hear from customers with special requests. If you see something in the pictures you want her to hold for you, reach out to her directly. And she also is able to ship most items. All of the items in her inventory are discounted 10% from now until we close.

BERRYVILLE TREASURES IS CLOSING

Th artists and crafters at Berryville Treasures an Artisans Boutique are deeply saddened to announce that our wonderful shop, that has been a mainstay in downtown Berryville for the last 15 years, will be closing its doors. While we were hoping to stay open through the holiday season, it looks like we will be closing up the end of October.

The good news for all of our loyal and regular customers is that your favorite vendors will still be doing what they do. We all will continue to take custom requests. In the coming weeks we will be highlighting their work and posting their contact information and show schedule so you can find them. And we plan to keep this page active so our customers can connect that way, too.

We are all deeply grateful for the love that has been shown by this community. You all kept us alive during the pandemic and your support over the last 15 years has not gone unnoticed.
