A decorating chat. Style is personal! Your style is just that, YOURS. I know I am in the 'business " of selling home decor, believe me - I would LOVE to sell you everything you need to make your space beautiful. BUT, I always recommend shopping your own home first. It is amazing what you can find when you just look around, and then come and see me for the finishing touches. I get guests all the time asking about my house and what it must look like. Well, it's small and cozy, filled with trinkets and treasures we have picked up over the years. We have lived in our house for 40 years, so some decor is new, but most is not. Don't try to copy magazines, Pinterest photos, or influencers, be true to your own style. You will be much happier. I personally like abundance, I "romance the ordinary " in most of my life. Remember-you are not less than....if your house is not picture perfect. With that said, people have asked, so here is a shot of my fall mantle. Happy Sunday! Just a quick note to let you know, I will be closed on Monday, Labor Day! I finally made it to our cottage for more than a couple of hours! I was able to go down to our dock and watch the sunrise this morning. I thought I would share my view. Enjoy!
