We recently traveled to Neath, Wales, on a missions trip with a team from Compassion Church in Dickson, Tennessee, to serve alongside IPHC missionaries Todd and Stephanie Presley!
Todd and Stephanie lead The Eli Project (Every Life Is Important), a nonprofit dedicated to creating a safe and encouraging community for families of children with special needs while sharing the love of Christ and the hope of the gospel. They are also in the beginning stages of planting a church in Neath.
Throughout the week, we partnered with The Eli Project to host six outreach events, connecting with children and families through games, crafts, Bible lessons, testimonies, and intentional times of prayer. We also had the opportunity to lead worship, build relationships with new families, and pray over the future church plant, the local community, and the nation of Wales.
But the impact didn't stop with the families we served! Through daily time in God's Word and intentional discipleship, team members experienced personal spiritual growth, discovered new gifts, and received confirmation of God's calling on their lives.
This is what missions is all about! Seeing lives impacted by the gospel, communities strengthened, and a new generation discovering how God can use them to make a difference around the world.
