The Homebase Halloween Skatejam is BACK for the 22nd year and we’re stoked to skate & see everyone at the ZA on Halloween from 12-4! Plus we’ll be hosting an after party at the shop featuring DJ sets, flash tattoos & even the release of a special collab we’re doing with this years flier artist J҉Æ҉M҉Ę҉Š҉ ҉G҉Ü҉Į҉Ł҉Ł҉Ë҉Ñ҉ 𖤐 😬

After an amazing summer of being outside, we’re stoked to be back inside! Monthly art shows, live music & more are back at the shop. If you’ve ever messaged me or the shop to inquire about setting up an event- the conversation may have gotten away from us or it could’ve gotten lost in the ether. To get ahead of it, you can now submit your events to the HB Community events form!

I’ll be checking submissions weekly, please just be sure to completely fill out all of the required information on the form. If it’s something that we can make happen then I’ll be able to reach out to you!

Make sure to mark your calendars for our next two events in October too! We’ll see you next Friday for Rights Abuse TEARS OF GOD Mortal Eviction & judgementdayhc & we’ll see you on October 31st for the Halloween Jam at the Plaza!

We are super stoked to have been supporting & been supported by Free Fall Skatepark and Ministry for just about the last two decades now. What David Kratz & the Free Fall team have built and maintained since 2003 is special.

Not only do they do their annual contest, but they have also:
•Maintained wooden ramps on their own every year since 2003 before it was a concrete park
• Saved the skatepark from once being torn down by the city
• Worked incredibly hard to raise about a million dollars to bring to life the skatepark & community center that is the Free Fall we know today. And so much more.

The Free Fall Contest weekend marks the end of the season for them every year, but it is also a celebration of their 23 years of service to our community. Not only is there a skate contest but they’ll also have contests for scooters, BMX & even 3v3 basketball.

Registration for the event is in the 🔗 in their bio- & the event is totally free for everyone! We hope to see you there 🫶🏽
