Our business has evolved from hobby, to farmers markets, to retail space in Frankfort, and finally to our Beulah location at 284 South Benzie Boulevard, Downtown Beulah. Unearthed is a global excursion with a local Michigan feel. Our space is meant to connect people to their roots and to the rest of the earth. What started as a small escape from reality has grown into a newfound metaphysical actuality, one most people only dream of escaping to. The veil separating dreams and reality has vanished. This dream has bridged the gap to worlds beyond our wildest imagination, to 60 million year old opalized ammonite fossils from Alberta, CA and Uruguayan amethyst geodes carved into butterfly wings big enough to carry us to Israel where we find ancient Roman Glass. Our journey has transported us into worlds seemingly not accessible and that's what our store aims to do for our visitors. Our store is often described as a museum where the importance of learning and exploring surpass monetary value and material possessions. In addition to foreign lands, this journey has also taken us home. We now have a deeper appreciation of our roots. As much as we are fascinated by the minerals, stones, fossils and crystals stretching from Madagascar to Australia, those same entities exist right in our backyard. Petoskey stones were our first love and continue to be one of our favorite stones to work with. We also work with Leland blue extensively and have experimented with Frankfort Green, Fordite, Copper Firebrick and Kona Dolomite, all stones that keep Michigan in mind and close to our hearts.
