Bookbid Rare Books is a small, family owned business buying and selling rare books. Our specialties include modern first editions, collectible children's books, and signed books. Most of our business is now conducted on the internet, although we still exhibit and sell books at a number of rare book fairs in California throughout the year. We are top sellers on eBay who enjoy 4000+ positive feedbacks. We invite you to peruse our inventory on the following websites:

Bookbid is proud to be a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America. This is an organization of book dealers which emphasizes ethical behavior and professionalism in the rare book trade. In this day and age of internet business, it is more important than ever to deal with book sellers who research and represent books honestly and accurately. Moreover, we stand behind all of our descriptions and our sales, meaning that we will take a book back and provide a full refund if a book is not described accurately. We guarantee the authenticity of all books--including all signed books--we sell or offer for sale. We have a special interest and expertise in signed books. This is an area of collecting that is fraught with risk, as many allegedly signed books are actually forgeries. For many years we have served as a special consultant to eBay, policing the listing of "signed" books advertised for sale on eBay. We regularly identify forgeries on eBay and have them removed before the auction is completed. Our inventory currently includes outstanding collections of first editions by Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, John Steinbeck, and F. We also have the best collections of Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and Dr. Seuss books for sale in the world. We buy rare books and collections virtually every day. Please contact us at 310-273-6762 or [email protected] to discuss your collecting interests.
