Well, after doing several legit transactions through Facebook I finally got scammed. For a very large sum of money, I’m ashamed to admit. I didn’t follow the typical protocol I do in the transaction that I generally do. It’s kind of a shameful thing to admit, I’m embarrassed. But I want people to learn from my mistake, I got lax because I’ve done some many successful ones. Of it doesn’t feel right don’t do it, always ask for reference from somebody you’re mutually friends with, double check that it’s not a cloned account and always have them right their name and date on a piece of paper along with items you’re buying. Use a pay app with buyer protection. I screwed up on so many levels with this one, I’ll be damned if I do it again. It’s definitely put me on a funk but life goes on, lessons learned.
