❄️ Big Storm Coming — Be Prepared ❄️

We’re expecting up to 2 feet of snow, and storms like this put a lot of stress on your equipment.

A few quick reminders:
• Take smaller passes — don’t rush deep snow
• Shear pins breaking is normal and protects your machine
• Clear ice buildup before running
• If something sounds wrong, stop using it to avoid bigger repairs

Our shop is currently 3–4 weeks booked out from the last storm, but we’re working nonstop to get everyone back up and running.

If you need service, the best way to schedule is directly through our website.

Stay safe, take your time, and check on your neighbors.

❄️ Service Update from All Care ❄️

After the first major storm of the season, our shop filled up quickly and we are currently about 3–4 weeks out on repairs.

We know how frustrating it can be when equipment goes down during winter, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience while our team works through the backlog.

A few things to keep in mind:
• We are completing machines in the order they were approved
• Parts availability can affect turnaround time
• Calling for status updates won’t speed repairs, but we promise we’re moving as fast as possible
• If your machine is still running, using it gently can help avoid bigger repairs

Our technicians are putting in long hours to get everyone back up and running safely and correctly, we won’t rush repairs at the expense of quality.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We’re grateful for the community that keeps us busy.

If you need to schedule service, please reach out, we’ll get you on the list.

Stay safe out there,
All Care

Most snowblowers don’t break because of snow depth —
they break from overloading the auger housing ❄️

Even in lighter snow, you don’t need to take full width.
Using ½ to ¾ of the auger width per pass reduces strain and helps your machine last longer.

✔️ Less wear on the auger and impeller
✔️ Protects shear pins and belts
✔️ Smoother, more efficient snow removal

This is how we treat our equipment so it’s ready for every storm.

Save this for later 👇
Share it with someone who always takes full passes.

Hey All,

We nearly got two feet of snow. At All Care we want to help you save time, money, and frustration. Here are a few things you should know before using your snowblower in heavy snow.

1: GO SLOW
If your machine moves too fast through deep snow, you can burn through the auger belt quickly.

2: Take 1/3 bites
Trying to take too much snow at once will bog down the engine and can either break shear pins or burn the auger belt.

3: Shear pins are meant to break
If a shear pin breaks, it’s doing its job. This usually means ice buildup or a hidden object was hit. This is very common in storms like this.

4: Clear ice before you start
Ice buildup around the auger or chute puts extra strain on belts, pins, and the gearbox. Always shut the machine off and clear ice before running it.

5: Keep the chute moving
If snow stops throwing or starts clogging, stop and clear it. Never force it or reach inside with the machine running.

6: Use the correct replacement parts
Only use the proper shear pins for your machine. Never replace them with bolts or hardened pins — this can cause major (and expensive) damage.

If your auger isn’t spinning, the machine is bogging down, or something doesn’t feel right, stop using it and have it checked. Running it through a problem usually makes repairs more costly.

Preparing for the Storm/Behind the Scenes at All Care

With a major snowstorm expected this weekend across New England, our team has been working tirelessly to make sure our customers are ready.

Over the past few days, we’ve serviced and sent out more than 60 snowblowers to customers before the storm hits, ranging from full tune-ups to emergency repairs. Our goal is simple: keep your equipment running when you need it most.

We’re extremely proud of the All Care Equipment team for putting in the long hours and extra effort leading into this storm. Their dedication and attention to detail make a real difference for our customers when conditions are at their worst. Feel free to join us in recognizing the crew who made this happen.
As a reminder, a few best practices can make a big difference during a storm like this:

-Let the snowblower warm up for 2–3 minutes before engaging the auger
-Take smaller passes in deep or heavy snow to avoid overloading the machine
-Go slow, forcing the blower is one of the fastest ways to cause clogs or shear pin failures
-Shut the machine off completely before clearing any chute jams
-Keep spare shear pins on hand in case you hit ice or hidden debris
-Clean off snow and ice after use and store the machine in a dry area

Big storms put a lot of stress on equipment, and proper use goes a long way in preventing breakdowns.

For customers who also need help clearing driveways, walkways, or access areas, All Care Exterior Cleaning is offering snow removal services throughout the storm, with service performed based on route availability.

If your snowblower is still giving you trouble or didn’t get checked yet, reach out to us. We’re doing everything we can to help as many people as possible during and after the storm.

Stay safe, stay warm, and good luck this weekend.

❄️ Snowblower Tip: Auger Not Spinning? It Might Be a Shear Pin ❄️

After a small storm, we get a lot of calls about snowblowers running but the auger not turning.
Most of the time, this is a broken shear pin, and that’s a GOOD thing.

What are shear pins?
Shear pins are designed to break on purpose when the auger hits something hard like ice, a frozen chunk, gravel, or a buried object.
They protect your gearbox and engine from major damage.

👉 If a shear pin breaks, it’s doing its job.

Signs you broke a shear pin:
• Engine runs normally
• Wheels move
• Auger doesn’t spin (or only one side spins)

How to fix it:
1️⃣ Turn the machine OFF and remove the key
2️⃣ Check the auger shaft for a missing or broken pin
3️⃣ Replace it with the correct shear pin for your model
⚠️ Never use bolts or hardened pins — this can cause serious damage

If you’re unsure which shear pin you need or don’t feel comfortable replacing it, we’re happy to help.

📞 Give us a call (781-552-3243) or stop by we’ll get you back up and running fast.
