The primary duty of this position is: Picture framing, design and sales
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Frame design with customers
Gallery hanging and sales
Canvas Stretching
Matting, mounting, hinging of artwork
Frame detailing
Frame and supply ordering from various vendors
Shipping, packing and receiving
Internet and email correspondence
Quality assurance
any other task required in day-to-day operation of custom framing and print shop
Candidates must possess the following abilities:
to lift 40 # on a regular basis
to confidently work alone with power equipment
to work well with others in a busy, multi-tasking environment
to confidently work with picture framing glass (cutting, handling etc)
to work confidently with computer POS, email and web
to be on your feet for long periods of time
Experience preferred in the following areas. Will train the right person.
custom framing design and assembly
computer entry/POS systems
power tools/equipment
customer relations
art/media sales and general knowledge
Wage and benefits will depend on experience and other qualifications of applicant. Medical insurance is currently not available.
