How have you been filling all of your extra time at home? Me? I spend the daytime homeschooling my grandsons. The late afternoon until about 1:30-2:00 a.m. THIS is what I'm doing. I am one of 27 ladies in Barbara-Lynn Matula group of sewist.

What do you do to prepare to sew? I mean honestly? Is there something you do? Do you have a plan in place? Do you have a ritual of some sort you go through? Do you think about what you're going to sew before you get into your sewing room or sewing area? Catch up--what a term. Have you ever played catch? When you play catch, you don't play catch by playing UP. Sure you hold your glove up, hoping the ball falls in it. In my case, the ball rarely ever found the glove. I was always playing catch up to find the ball after it hit the ground and I finally found focus again after the sun was out of my eyes. Hey folks, I know not all embroiderers are quilters, but some of you are. This woman has some mad skills with that rotary cutter and ruler. I've made a building block quilt before, but it certainly didn't go that quickly. It took me a lot of thought process if nothing else to get the ruler going the right way. Wow! I may have to go check out the full video and blog to see what all she has to say! Anyone else need to go check this out as well?

When embroidering you don't necessarily need pins, but you will when sewing. Many of us that embroider, also sew. This is a great, cheap way to have those pins handy and with us when we need them.

Some of you will notice a difference here! There has been a NAME change!!! The name to this page has officially been changed to Shelly Bellies! We are getting the files ready to start uploading onto the Etsy page by the same name. I'd say that you're welcome to come by the shop and shop around; however there isn't anything to shop around yet! But it won't be too much longer, now!
