Part 2/2
1997, I was put in the attic, never to see Tommy again. Years pass by slowly, alone, dark, forever seeking the days of yesteryear. How much time left, I wonder. Does time ever end?

2019, and all of a sudden I was moving again, I heard voices, people. Where am I to go? I thought. The dump? I for sure hope not. But an end to my days in the attic is more bliss than any doom I could imagine. I am placed on a table. Other toys around me. I must look my best and stand at attention. Hours pass by and strangers come in and out of the room, glance at me and continue to move.

3 days later, 2019, and I'm still here, my fur is fluffy, my ears at point, my smile warm and loving. My toy friends have all been picked and it is just me. Furniture is being carelessly thrown in a dumpster. They're locking the doors. One last person passes by, this is my chance. I muster up all the energy left in my little battery and bang on my drum and let my eyes sparkle for them! They stop, stare, they smile and lean down. I try to bang on my drum again but at last I am out of energy. They look at me and lightly help me bang on my drum, the percussion makes them dance and laugh. They pick me up and hold me near . My heart is full, I smile as hard as I can, for this is my new best friend. They bring me to a man, put some money in his hand, carry me to the car and seat belt me in. The bumps in the road help me play the song of old. We dance and we sing, we laugh like in spring. I am forgotten no more! A new life I'm bound to explore!
