Events outside are always at Mother Nature's mercy. There is some rain around 9 am-10 am and 2 pm, and some wind in the forecast tomorrow for the Sand Sculpture Competition. The show will go on rain or shine; follow our socials closely in case there are any changes due to wind, and please bring appropriate clothes for the weather!

C is for cops! Thank you to all the deputies of the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office for keeping everyone safe during the 4th of July celebration here in Birch Bay. We appreciate everything you do for the community!

Have a spectacular Independence Day weekend!

🇺🇸 After the fireworks, let's leave only footprints.

Join us for the July 5 Beach Cleanup from 9 AM–Noon at the Birch Bay Berm and help keep our shoreline beautiful.

🗑️ Bags, gloves, grabbers, and refreshments will be available to use.

But here's something even more important...
Our goal isn't to collect more trash every year. Our goal is to collect less.

Please help by:
✅ Packing out everything you pack in.
✅ Taking your trash to the curb instead of leaving it on the beach, if you can't take it with you.
✅ Never leaving items behind because "someone will clean it up".

🌿 Please also stay out of the fenced berm areas. They're not trash collection spots. The fencing protects native plants that reduce erosion, support wildlife, and help keep our shoreline healthy.

Let's all do our part so Birch Bay stays beautiful long after the holiday is over. ❤️
