Mama’s Stressed and Blessed Arts & Crafts I am a full-time “stay-at-home mom," to 2 wonderful and amazing children: Caleb and Ellie. (It's ok, you can chuckle at the name...I still chuckle at it.)

I have a deep passion for ALL things arts-and-crafts--including designing, creating, painting, and even "re-loving" usable art. Having been both an engineer and a Quality Manager in the Automotive Industry prior to leaving the workforce in 2020, I found myself needing some sort of mental stimulation during the day that didn't include singing "The ABC's" and making shapes in Playdough with my preci

ous daughter. So, for a "mental outlet," I decided to stop overwhelming my neighbors with random art pieces and start my own Arts & Crafts business: "Mama's Stressed & Blessed Arts and Crafts." Each item I make is uniquely designed and inspired by "(Mom) Life." My line of tea towels started out in my kitchen with just me and an X-Acto knife, hand cutting each design, and has grown into a beautiful little gem--the heartbeat of my business. I specialize in custom designs, dish (tea) towels, t-shirts, aprons, wine glasses, earrings, cutting boards, paintings, wreaths, and other various "crafty" art pieces. My goal is to share love, blessings, laughter, and to bring a little sunshine to everyone that sees my work. The Lord has blessed me with artistic talents and I in-turn hope that you are blessed with a smile, even if you do not make a purchase (not everything in this world is about money). After a month of low-key planning, building, and recreating, and redesigning the layout… I can announce that you can find all of my current inventory at Irondale Pickers. “Mama’s Stressed and Blessed” Booth 103… Featuring “Ellie’s Corner:things made by a little for littles”, (which we had to completely redesign and recreate after our “post Painted Tree Inventory Sale-off.”) Both Ellie and I have worked hard this summer to restock our inventory, mine with mailbox swags, towels, and wreaths, and all of Ellie’s Jewelry (more still to come). We are so glad to have found a new home at “Pickers!” 🥰 it is still a work in process—but it is about time that I announce it as is. I add new items weekly (including swags and wreaths). If there is something you would like to see, let me know. I love creating and love feedback on things people are looking for vs just creating a whole lot of random wreaths and hoping they sell 😅. If you pass by, just know, it has all (except records and cutting-boards) been handmade by myself or my daughter. It’s mailbox swag time. Here are a few creations (2 have already sold—but can be remade). All mesh swags regardless of style (as shown) are $65.00–including any remakes. All are a minimum of 24” per side (roughly 48” overall) up to 31”-35” per a side (approx 62”-70” overall) in length and HEAVY lacquer sealed (some are even double spray sealed) to aid in weather & sun protection. Just because the storefront was closed (The Painted Tree), doesn’t mean that I haven’t been a busy bee: selling, making, and creating. Here are a few of the recent creations (including a custom wreath that is on its way to its forever home today). All have sold except the natural with right-side greenery. I have 3 more 4th of July/Patriot Themed wreaths in process; as well as, I have several Patriotic Themed Mailbox swags (one sold others will be made to sell). So…. Standby for standby, and I’ll post the new creations soon. 🥰

Ellie and I will be out at the store this afternoon (between 3:30-4:30) to see and share her creations in their new store/home. Come out and see us!

I have been steadfastly praying this week since the Painted Tree closed, and indeed, the Lord has answered a HUGE prayer. It was so hard to see the face of disappointment on Ellie’s face when I had to tell her about the other store closing, and now I CANNOT wait for her to get home from school so I can tell her the wonderful news. It’s not the end of my/our business—it just might look a little different and the approach to making it work (selling method(s)) might be a little different than before—but we are still going, moving onward and forward. Yes, on Tuesday, it was a hard and abrupt end of a chapter—in which the pages were ripped out before they could even be finished, but THANK THE LORD that his hands have been holding us, leading us, and guiding us… already HE has guided us forward on a huge step into this new/next chapter. 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you for supporting us, Taylor! The hardest part was telling my little (Ellie (Ellie’s Corner)) that her stuff no longer had a home at the store (Painted Tree) , but I assured her that we will find one… you can plan for down turn and down seasons, but abrupt closure is not something you plan for when you are guaranteed a year of business. Small business ownership is hard. It is up and it is down. It is full of silent tears, self doubt, and hours that make many cringe. When you hit a point like this, all I know to do is pray. With God, somehow, some way, I/we will succeed… I have to believe that there will be a way for us to all continue doing what we were meant to do!
