Discover the joy of pattern, color, and creative expression in this hands-on acrylic painting workshop inspired by the artistic ideas of contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama.

Known for her bold colors, playful dots, and repeating patterns, Kusama transformed simple shapes into a unique visual language recognized around the world. During this workshop, you'll learn about her life and artistic vision, and how repetition, rhythm, and color can create movement and a sense of infinity in a painting.

We'll begin with a fun "Dot Lab" where you'll experiment with a variety of tools to create circles of different sizes and discover how pattern changes the way we see. Then you'll design and paint your own original artwork inspired by Kusama's approach to color and repetition. Rather than copying an existing painting, you'll use these ideas to create something uniquely your own.
