🏊 🪕 Jackson and Clint of Holler Choir sounding great and playing on two awesome instruments; a 1981 Gallagher 72 Special and a Gold Tone ML-1 Missing Link Baritone banjo. Love the sound of that low-tuned banjo 🔥

Joel Ragan came by the shop last week to play us a few of his original tunes - the first one on this 2019 Gibson 1942 Banner J45. Joel is a prolific musician about town who plays guitar, bass, drums, sings in choirs, and teaches piano down the street at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts.

This J45 plays and sounds great and was the instrument chosen for display at the 2020 NAMM Show.

If you’re curious about what makes the “Banner” special, I highly recommend looking into the “Kalamazoo Girls” and the women who worked in the Gibson factories between 1942-1946 and designed the “Banner” guitar line.

Clint and Jackson came by the shop and played a few tunes for us. Here they are playing on a 1967 Martin D-35 and a 2021 Doug Piersol mandolin.
