Fable & Threads is now offering personalized sorting, downsizing & estate-sale preparation assistance.
This service is for the person who wants to do things themselves, but needs a little help figuring out what to do with everything.
Maybe you're:
• Downsizing or moving
• Settling a loved one's estate
• Cleaning out an inherited home
• Preparing for a large yard or estate sale
• Tackling a basement, attic, garage, closet, or storage unit
• Sorting through a collection you don't know the value of
• Or simply staring at years of accumulated belongings thinking, “Where do I even start?”
We're here to help you make those decisions.
We'll work alongside you to sort belongings into categories such as:
KEEP • SELL • DONATE • DISCARD • RESEARCH
And because of our background in vintage, antiques, clothing, collectibles, and nostalgic pieces, we can help identify the things that might be easy to overlook, the vintage dress hanging in the back of the closet, the old record collection, the mid-century furniture in the basement, or the box of family keepsakes that nobody knows what to do with.
Want to hold your own estate sale?
We can help you prepare for it.
Instead of hiring an estate-sale company and giving up a percentage of your sales, you can hire us for our time and expertise, then keep the proceeds from your own sale.
We'll help you sort, organize, identify potential resale items, and create a plan for what comes next.
And yes, sometimes we'll find something we'd love to add to Fable & Threads.
If we see something that fits our business, we may make you a separate offer to purchase it. You are never required to sell anything to us as part of our service.
Our goal isn't to convince you to get rid of everything.
It's to help you make thoughtful, informed decisions about the things you've accumulated, and hopefully make the process feel a whole lot less overwhelming.
What we don't do:
This is not junk removal, and it is not a cleaning service. We do not haul household garbage, hazardous materials, construction debris, appliances, or other general junk-removal items and we won't be scrubbing toilets. 😂 We do know people who can.
We're here for the stuff, not the scrubbing. Our job is to help you sort through belongings, identify what may have value, decide what to keep/sell/donate, and help you make a plan for what comes next.
Pricing starts at $50/hour with a 2-hour minimum.
