🔧 In the shop this week: Mossberg 500A revival

This older 12-gauge Mossberg 500A came in looking like it had spent a few seasons living hard. Thick fouling, sticky internals, a safety that wasn’t doing its job, and it refused to cycle 3" shells reliably.

Right now it’s fully field-stripped on the bench. We’re cleaning every nook, checking the trigger group, extractor, bolt carrier, and action bars, and sorting out the safety and cycling issues so it runs the way it should again.

These classic Mossbergs are tough, but neglect catches up with them. A proper deep clean and a few key adjustments go a long way toward bringing them back to reliable service.

Things have been busy here at Blue Raven Precision!

As many of you have probably seen or heard through the grapevine, I’m moving the shop and teaming up with the awesome crew at Newcastle Gun Company.

This weekend I got to teach my son how to frame walls and rough in doors, a special moment in the middle of all the change. God has truly blessed me and my family with some amazing opportunities over the past couple of years, and He continues to shine His light on us.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me as this business grows, whether you’re a customer who has trusted me with your fi****ms or a friend or family member cheering us on. Your support means more than you know.
