Lately, I´ve had the chance to crochet two animals I have never made before.
It`s always a challenge.
Although I`ve designed so many toys, I still feel a bit unsure when it comes to something new.

When I was asked for a crochet otter, my first reaction was to quickly google it – “wait… what exactly does an otter even look like?”

The moment I saw photos of otters, I was completely enchanted.
It instantly inspired me. I knew right away that I wanted to try making one.

So here`s my very first crochet otter, made with Istex Lettlopi 100% Islandic wool yarn.

😊 Fun fact: In Estonian, an otter is called SAARMAS. What's it called in your language?
