I made this wreath last night for my dad’s cremation today. My two older brothers—James, who drove from Texas to Minnesota, and Phoukhanh (whose name was unfortunately misspelled on the printout)—will not be able to return for his memorial service on September 26th. I made this wreath on their behalf so that they could have something from them there with our dad today.
I feel incredibly blessed to have so many supportive family members and friends surrounding me during this time of loss. This wreath also represents a piece of me going with my father, as it will be cremated alongside him.
Many of my regular clients may remember me mentioning that my limited shop schedule over the past few years was created around my father’s needs and schedule. I had the opportunity to care for him during the last three years of his life, and I’m grateful that I was able to have that time with him.
I will definitely miss him, but I’m comforted knowing that he no longer has to suffer.
I will be gradually resuming my regular delivery schedule beginning Monday, September 14th. Thank you all for your patience, kindness, and continued support over the years. It truly means so much to me, especially during this time. ❤️
