BIOGRAPHY…
Boo Boo Buddies were born in my imagination around 15 yrs ago: I could create dolls that not only looked like their new 'friend' but who also faced the same sickness or injury.
Unfortunately, life got away from me and I put the idea to rest...
When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, Boo Boo Buddies went through an imaginative rebirth as I sat through hours-long treatments and endured the pain of various surgeries. It was then that I realized adults need tough-time buddies, too.
Boo Boo Buddies took on an entirely new vision and mission: to hurt with you, heal with you, and help you through difficult times...and they are for ANYONE who needs a buddy.
*Buddies can bring a smile to the face of a sick or hurt child who just needs a little extra cuddle through an illness or injury.
*Buddies can help children express pain, trauma, sadness, confusion, sickness...anything...by being encouraged to place a bandage on a Boo Boo's heart and show someone they trust.
*Tell someone "I'm sorry" with a Boo Boo Buddy (I'm looking at you, fellas!)
*Give a memory-impaired senior a Boo Boo Buddy to calm their separation anxiety and loneliness.
*Get a Buddy for yourself as a reminder that you're never alone.
