We cannot believe our summer season is already coming to a close! Come see one of our long time favorites, Rebecca Noel Designs, next Saturday, September 12th.

A little bio of the lovely human behind this beautiful work...

I love to translate the detail and wonder of the world around me into jewelry- whether through real botanicals, colors of water, or inspiration from art, each of my pieces are thoughtfully crafted miniature landscapes with a hint of etherealism. My jewelry making journey began as a child through crafting with my mom and sister, and developed through working at bead stores, apprenticing with a master jeweler, and taking classes. In 2010 I started Rebecca Noel Designs, and since 2019 have been designing primarily in resin and epoxy clay. I love to work with dried botanicals and grow and forage much of the material, and I also use metal gilding flakes, mineral powders and crushed glass.

More recently, I’ve had the opportunity to be written up in Ohio Magazine and Voyage Ohio for local artists column features, and was commissioned by the Toledo Museum of Art to make a collection of jewelry for their gift shop to coordinate with a nature themed painting exhibit by Rachel Ruysch. I designed pieces inspired by the colors and botanicals of one of her works.

A fun side branch of my business has been taking people’s flowers from weddings or funerals, pet hair from pets that have passed, or even ashes, and having them turned into special pieces of keepsake jewelry.

I live in Cincinnati and sell through art and craft shows, in several retail stores, and online at rebeccanoeldesigns.com.
