Just a reminder we are closed this week at Sweet & Southern Collective

We are going to be closed October 28–31 so I can spend a few days working behind the scenes and getting everything ready for the Christmas season!

I think sometimes it’s easy to forget that Sweet & Southern Collective is a one-woman show. I’m the one baking all the goodies, making the bath and body products, mixing up the cleaning supplies, stocking the shelves, ordering merchandise, cleaning, organizing, helping customers, and doing all the little things it takes to keep the doors open. There are only so many hours in a day, and when I’m busy taking care of the store and our wonderful customers, it doesn’t leave much time to create all the things I want to bring to y’all.

So I’m giving myself a few days with the doors closed to really get some things accomplished! I’ve got new products to make, shelves to fill, Christmas merchandise to put out, and lots of special things planned for the holidays.

We’ll reopen Wednesday, November 4, with CHRISTMAS AT SWEET & SOUTHERN COLLECTIVE!

I want this Christmas season to be something special, and I think y’all are going to love what’s coming!

Thank y’all for shopping small, supporting what I do, and allowing me to share the things I love creating with you. Every purchase, every kind word, and every person who walks through those doors means so much to me.

Now I’ve got four days to roll up my sleeves and get to work! I can’t wait for y’all to see what I’ve been planning!

Oh hey girl, remember me?

That dark chocolate chunk brownie you fell in love with? Well, she’s back and dressed up a little!

We’re talking silky smooth caramel, rich chocolate ganache, and a sprinkle of Osmo salt to bring it all together.

Introducing The Nutty Little Date!

I’ve been making these for myself and Jasper for a couple of years now, and after several people asking if I would make them available at the store, I decided it was time!

They’re made with dates, natural peanut butter, pecans, dipped in organic chocolate, and finished with a sprinkle of Osmo flaky sea salt.

A little sweet, a little salty, with the perfect mix of chewy and crunchy. Kind of like a candy bar, but made with simple ingredients.

The Nutty Little Dates will be available THIS WEEK at Sweet & Southern Collective!

Hope y’all enjoy them as much as we do!

My beautiful angel tree will be going up very soon at Sweet & Southern Collective, but this year, it will be about so much more than Christmas decorations.

It will be a tree filled with opportunities to bless others.

Hanging from its branches will be little paper angels, each representing someone in our community who could use a little extra love, help, and Christmas cheer this year.

Each angel will have a Christmas wishlist. Nothing extravagant, nothing over the top. Just a few things that could make someone’s Christmas a little brighter and remind them that they haven’t been forgotten.

Anyone who would like to help can choose an angel from the tree and help make those wishes come true.

We will also have Holiday Dinner Angels.

These are especially close to my heart. For every dinner angel adopted, I will personally prepare a homemade holiday feast for that individual or family. My hope and prayer is that every single angel on our tree will be chosen, and that nobody who needs a little extra love this Christmas will be overlooked.

I’ve always believed that some of the greatest blessings in life come from being able to bless somebody else. And sometimes, the smallest gestures mean the absolute most to someone who is struggling.

And here’s where I need your help.

If you know someone who is having a difficult time this year, whether it’s a family with children, a senior citizen living alone, a single parent trying to make ends meet, or simply someone who could use a little Christmas cheer, please reach out to me privately.

You don’t have to share their struggles publicly. Just let me know how we might be able to help, and we will do our very best to find someone willing to adopt their angel. We’ll coordinate with the person or family privately before placing their wishes on the tree.

I can’t promise that we can do everything, but I can promise that we will try.

I want Sweet & Southern Collective to be so much more than a little store in Blue Ridge. I want it to be a place where people feel loved, where kindness is contagious, and where our community comes together to take care of one another.

Because Christmas isn’t about how much we receive. It’s about how much love we’re willing to give.

And wouldn’t it be something wonderful to see every single angel taken from that tree this Christmas?

Let’s make that happen, y’all.

With love,
Sweet & Southern Collective

Now, my sweet Jasper deserves a post all of his own!

Friday was a BIG day for my little man, and I don’t know that I have ever been prouder of him!

If you know Jasper, you know he has a personality bigger than he is, a heart of gold, and an imagination that never stops. So having a place where he can share his love of creating with other children is something pretty special.

But y’all, the highlight of the entire ribbon cutting for me wasn’t the big scissors, the beautiful blue bows, or even seeing his name on the wall.

It was watching my six-year-old little boy stand up in front of a crowd and explain the mission of Jasper’s Creation Station.

My heart absolutely swelled with pride! I stood there thinking, “That’s my baby!” Watching him speak about something that means so much to us was a moment I wish I could bottle up and keep forever.

And can I just say how much I love this community?

The way people have embraced Jasper and his Creation Station has been incredible. People have offered supplies, donations, encouragement, and most importantly, their time and support. Y’all aren’t just supporting a little craft room. You’re showing a little boy that he has something worthwhile to contribute to his community.

And as his mama, that means EVERYTHING.

I want Jasper to grow up knowing that kindness matters, giving back matters, and that you don’t have to be a grown-up to do something good for somebody else.

That’s what I hope this little Creation Station teaches him, too.

I’m so thankful for every single person who has gotten behind this little adventure of his. I hope y’all know that when you support Jasper’s Creation Station, you’re not just helping us provide free, donation-supported creative activities for children. You’re helping build my little boy’s confidence, teaching him about serving others, and showing him what a wonderful thing community can be.

And one day, when he’s older, I hope he understands just how many people were rooting for him from the very beginning.

Jasper, Mama is so proud of you, buddy. I hope you never lose that big imagination, that sweet heart, or the courage to share your ideas with the world.

And to our community, thank you for making my little boy feel like a million bucks on his big day!
