The Corner Stone We have been open since 1987 and pride ourselves in providing the community with unique gift items. We feature many local artisans as well.

The Corner Stone was named after the very building it inhabits: the corner stone in the community. We share a space with our local masonic lodge and when lodges are established, their goal is to be the “corner stone” in every community. As part of a contest to name this gift shop, “corner stone” was submitted and won. We have been open since 1987 and pride ourselves in providing the community with

unique items, gift ideas, and our uplifting spirits. We don’t just invite you to come in and shop, we invite you into our home. We will remember your faces and do everything we can to ensure your experience here is memorable and pleasurable. We are home to 35+ local artisans and their products -- we are proud to display the raw talent the Bluefield region has. It is so important to shop local so we can protect these artisans and other small businesses.

Can you imagine if this many people consistently supported local boutiques and small businesses? Our communities would be stronger than ever.

We’d also like to mention that if you see something in our store that you’ve found elsewhere for a lower price, please let us know. We work hard to keep our prices as fair as possible based on supplier costs, and whenever we can, we’ll do our best to price match for our community.
