Speed dating is all about meeting a bunch of new people in a very short amount of time and figuring out who deserves a second date.

So naturally, Low Country Shrimp and Knits decided to do it with yarn. 🧶❤️

At Commitment Issues: A Yarn Tasting Event, you’ll speed date 10 fabulous yarns you may not have met before. You’ll spend a little time with each one, knit or crochet a few rows, get to know its personality, and enjoy a snack and beverage pairing along the way.

And apparently you REALLY wanted to meet them because we sold out almost immediately when I posted it. So we’ve added a few more spots!

No experience needed. We’ll cover casting on, the knit stitch, reading your needles, and turning yarn into actual fabric. If everyone’s cruising, we may even introduce the purl stitch.

Needle felting for the holidays!

Bring a friend and join us for a needle felting class to create your very own holiday decoration. Include it in a centerpiece, put it in a curio, make it in to an ornament, or give it as a gift! Come spend 2-3 hours with us stabbing and creating your very own cute creature.

It may still be 90 degrees here in the Low Country but fall is quickly approaching bringing with it new yarns to squish!

You may have seen we brought in a new line, Woolfolk, when we moved the shop. We have expanded the line by adding FAR, the squishiest 100% Merino Wool worsted weight yarn! You'll want to knit or crochet yourself a nightgown and just live in this yarn forever!

It’s warm. It’s elegant. It makes cables and textured stitches look fantastic. And once you touch it, you may find yourself standing in the yarn aisle quietly reconsidering your budget.
