💚 The Closet Volunteer Spotlight: Ginny! 💚

We love seeing Ginny’s smiling face at The Closet, where she generously gives her time as a volunteer. But recently, we discovered that Ginny has a pretty incredible talent and we just had to share it!

🎶 Ginny plays the dulcimer! 🎶

She has been part of a dulcimer trio for more than 20 years. Although the three musicians no longer live near one another, they haven’t let distance stop the music! Using special software, they still come together virtually to play for 2½ hours every week. Talk about dedication! 🎵

Ginny’s love of the dulcimer has also taken her around the world. She has traveled to Scotland and Ireland on separate trips to play in cathedrals and she has even been invited to play at Carnegie Hall! 🎻✨

We’re so grateful that Ginny shares her time, her smile, and now a little bit of her remarkable story with us at The Closet.

💚 **WE’RE ALMOST THERE!** 💚

The volunteers at The Closet Thrift Shop work incredibly hard all year and they are very close to reaching their goal of $100,000 in sales! 🎉

If you’ve been thinking about shopping at The Closet Thrift Shop, now is the time. All clothing items are just $3 and every dollar brings us closer to $100,000 and helps strengthen the work of The Center and the older adults we serve. 💚They have until 3pm tomorrow to reach their goal.

The Big Sale is continuing through Wednesday (9/30)- all clothing items are only $3 -this is an incredible deal! The Closet Thrift Shop is full of name brands, unique items and capsule wardrobe pieces which really give boutique shop feeling while getting thrift store prices.
