Mayor Wendy Perrette is shown accepting a painting from Summer Stewart that will be displayed at Bogalusa City Hall. This is a second painting completed by Summer which depicts the March 11, 2016 flood in Bogalusa. The painting captures a rain drop falling and the raging waters of the Bogalusa creek engulfing areas of Bogalusa. Included in the painting are: Annunciation Church and school, the museums of the park, Zesto, City Hall any the recently demolished YWCA. The painting is surrounded by the scripture Isaiah 43:2 "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you." 14"x 27" prints are available at McMillan's Gifts, Country Frames and Delta for $40.
