Thursday is Downtown Boise First Thursday and Trolley Parton will be parked outside Mixed Greens from 5 to 8 featuring Sherry Thomas of Slow Pelican Art✨

Sherry Thomas (Slow Pelican Art) makes peaceful, nature-inspired work. Ten years of wildflower and beach photography wandered into experimental mixed-media painting and, most recently, pottery glazed in soft beachy colors. Come check out her gallery!

The Movie Night Book Club is our new book club where nobody has to read the book (we get to watch the movie instead). First up: Coraline, on Saturday, October 10 at the Idaho Film Society downtown. Doors at 6:30p, movie at 7p, with drinks, popcorn, a Q&A with Lars Larsen (an animator who actually worked on the film), a costume contest that Snoots will be judging in person, and Trolley Parton parked outside for browsing.

It's National Dog Day, so a word about our most senior employee (note the original kiosk backdrop).

Snoots has been with Curbside Books since day one. His duties include greeting, supervising load-in, inspecting incoming boxes, and holding down the shaded end of the trolley, and he has never once missed a shift (he has also never once read a book, which he considers irrelevant to the role).

In related news, he has just been asked to judge something in October. He is taking the assignment very seriously. He cannot say more at this time.

The Practical Magic retreat weekend sold out in two days (which still has me in disbelief) but there's still Sunday Sanctuary passes available!
