Yesterday morning’s mango harvest.
One of the first things I’ve been doing most mornings is to walk out to the tree to see what treasures fell during the night. I try to gather them before the squirrels, birds, and other hungry visitors discover them.

It’s 99 degrees today here in Yucatán. After lunch, we laid down in our hammocks on the back porch, watching the squirrels, rabbits, iguanas and birds eat, drink, and bathe. Everyone is feeling the heat today, though thankfully there’s a nice breeze coming through.

My mom just spotted the first two mangos that fell from the tree. The season is beginning, and I could not be happier. My favorite fruit. 🥭
