Friends of the Fountaindale Library

Friends of the Fountaindale Library Friends was established to serve as community advocates and to raise funds to assist with library programs.

The Friends have raised money through bi-annual used book sales, sales of used books and other items in our used book store - the Book Cellar, and sales of several cookbooks containing recipes from Friends and the library staff. Money donated to the library has helped pay for the Summer Reading Kickoff Program, all prizes for the Summer Reading Program, prizes for the Great Page Race and the Rock

in' Reading Race, to buy materials and equipment not included in the library budget, and to sponsor author programs for both children and adults.

There has been a lot of news about the current movie "Pressure" about the World War II Invasion known as D Day. If you would like more information, come to the Book Cellar and check out this beautiful D Day book (only $2.00!). The Book Cellar is a used book store located in the Lower Level of the Bolingbrook Public Library. It is open Sundays 1:00 P.M. to 5:00P.M., Tuesdays - 10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and Thursdays from 1:00 P.M.to 5:00 P.M. We have a beautiful selection of other History books on World War II as well.

Thanks to the generous donations our shelves have been stocked with many current books. Browse the shelves from fiction to non-fiction, large print and kids.

The Spring Bi-Annual Booksale was a great success thanks to all who publicized it on Facebook, volunteered, and the incredible shoppers. Now we need your donations for the Fall Sale. The donations we receive help fill the shelves of our Book Cellar as well as the tables for our next sale. All proceeds of the sale support the Library and the services it provides. Please save the date for the Fall Sale October 2-4, 2026.
