Doherty's Family Farm Market stopped in this past week.

They’re a few hours south of us.

We only knew of each other because of social media.

But saw many similarities in our business’ values and family.

Between messaging a few times, liking posts, commenting, we supported one another from afar.

She walked in with her husband and I knew exactly who she was.

They planned a family mini vaca in our beautiful county and made The Mill a top priority stop.

If you’re in the Poynette WI area, check their farm out!

They have a great shop to buy local meats and produce.

Best part of having a business, with the main focus being customer service is watching the growth from not only our children but other young adults we hire.

How they get so comfortable talking and problem solving. Customer service skills is a great tool to have!

We tell our young staff, yes this is a first job for most, but we hope they learn so much about how to treat people when you’re on the other side of a counter

Customer service is a tough job!

Giving grace on busy days to staff at a busy place is something most do well if they have a customer service background

Cubby was very shy when he started.

He’s come a long way!

Me- ummm a what?!? A sticky bake?

Him- (thick Australian accent) a sticky beak!

Me- is that a doughnut ?

Him- (laughing) No!! Beak. Sticky beak means a look around.

Me- where are you from?

Him- I’m from Australia, she’s here from Tennessee. We are here for work in Green Bay and saw this place show up and had to come get a sticky beak

Me- what kind of work?

Him- we are in the sheep and goat breeding business

Her- yes, we are here for business and Green Bay Wisconsin area is are absolute favorite places to go for work trips. You guys are so advanced in the farming industry too. Sheep, goats. You guys have a great state

Me- thank you! So cool to hear from outsiders.

They had a sticky beak, ordered a Cortado, which he said was amazing and admitted he’s a coffee snob

She had a plain latte. She also loved our beans.

And yes I’m using the phrase, “sticky beak” from now on.

We have big news about one of your favorite baristas!!!

She’s engaged!!!

And it happened in the most adorable way.

Her now fiancé, Jackson and her went on a rock hunting adventure at Eagle Harbor on Lake Superior

Jackson said to Kaela, “look at this cool rock I found”

When she turned around, he had a ring in his hand with a really, really, beautiful cool rock!

Jackson is a really great guy! If you know him, you love him.

We are so happy for them both!

Congratulations guys!! We are so happy for you!

Be sure to congratulate Kaela when you see her smiling face this week with her new shiny ring!

Our son Knox asked if he could have a cup of “Sunday morning” coffee.

Knox’s cup of coffee this morning is our Blueberry Cinnamon Swirl, splash of Red River’s Finest Maple Syrup and a splash of milk.

He likes his coffee “blonde” 😂😂

He asked me what he should say when he orders his coffee so it tastes juuuust like this.

We coached him so he can order on his own and get extant what he wants.

He has it figured out.

Honestly, our flavored drip is sooo good. He picked up on how I drink mine, that’s extant how I take my coffee now. But I like it more black. I like to taste the beans.

If you’re looking for less sugar, less artificial sweeteners, try Knox’s special! Reminder, our coffee is organic and fair-trade as well which makes every sip that much better!

It’s real good!
