We wanted to share a quick update on Mom. ❤️

She is currently in the hospital and is still experiencing significant altered mental status and confusion. She is being treated with IV antibiotics for an ESBL antibiotic-resistant infection, as well as pneumonia.

We’ve also learned that her cancer has spread extensively to her skull. There have been concerns with her liver function, although thankfully those numbers are beginning to improve. She remains extremely weak and is currently unable to walk, so the plan is for her to go to rehab once she is medically stable. She's hoping to regain her strength so that she can continue treatment and keep fighting this cancer.

We are taking things one day at a time, trusting God through it all. Please continue to pray for healing, strength, clarity, and comfort for Mom. We appreciate every prayer, message, and act of kindness more than you know. ❤️🙏

An Update on Sherry ❤️

We wanted to share an update with all of Mom’s wonderful customers, friends, and everyone who has been praying for her.
Mom recently spent several days in the hospital in Tampa after becoming very sick and weak. While there, she was treated for an infection and underwent additional testing. We also met with her oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center, who believes there is a possibility that Mom may be dealing with two types of liver cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Moffitt is performing additional testing to help determine exactly what we are dealing with and the best path forward.

Today, Mom had her first chemotherapy treatment at Dothan Oncology. The original plan was for a treatment lasting approximately six hours, but because she is still so weak, her oncologist did not feel that she was strong enough to receive the full treatment. Instead, they administered a shorter treatment of about two hours. We are praying that her body tolerates it well and that she begins to regain some strength.

Because Mom’s health and care have to be our priority right now, Sherry’s She Shed will be closed until further notice. We truly hope and pray that we will be able to reopen soon, but at this time, we are unable to say when that will be.

All tanning packages will be placed on hold, so no one will lose the time they have already purchased while we are closed. If you would prefer a refund for your tanning package, please contact Casey at 850-703-0930, and we will work with you as best we can to return your money.

We cannot begin to express how much your love, support, messages, and especially your prayers have meant to Mom and our entire family through all of this. Please continue praying for strength for Mom, wisdom for her doctors, answers from the additional testing, and most of all, healing.

We are trusting God one day at a time. Thank you for loving Mom so well. ❤️🙏

Mom has been admitted to AdventHealth Hospital in Tampa and is expected to remain there for the next few days. At this time, Sherry’s She Shed will be closed through Tuesday, August 18th. We will keep everyone updated if anything changes and let you know as soon as we’re able to reopen. Thank you so much for your understanding, and most of all, thank you for continuing to keep Mom in your prayers. Your prayers, love, and support mean more to our family than we can say. ❤️🙏
