🚨 FOUND PET BIRD IN BONITA SPRINGS 🚨
Hey local Bonita Springs and Imperial River community! We need your help finding the owner of a very sweet, clearly domesticated pigeon that wandered into a friend’s shop this morning.
Details about our visitor:
Appearance: Domestic Rock Pigeon (heavy-built, looks similar to a Giant Homer). Dark grey/black body with beautiful green and purple iridescent neck feathers and a distinct white patch on the side of its neck.
Behavior: Incredibly tame and human-imprinted. It is so comfortable around people that it sat right on a shoulder!
Identification: Unfortunately, there are no leg bands.
Because this is an indoor pet, it lacks survival skills and is very vulnerable outside. We currently have the bird safely secured indoors in a large cage and are keeping it happy with plenty of water, mixed seeds, and fresh snacks, but we really want to get it back to its family!
