Friday is quickly becoming my favorite part of the week…not because it’s the last work day until the weekend but because I’m allowing myself to just play with scraps. So much of quilting is lines, measuring, making things line up. It’s uniform and sometimes it doesn’t alllow creativity. One day a week, I gather my scraps and just sew. I’m not making things line up or worried about following a pattern or making my colors correspond…I’m just creating. I think we all need a little time from the form and structure of life to just be free to do what brings us joy. Take some time today to find that joy!

Guys, it’s raining in CA today 😱. The temperature has dropped and I’m in the mood to start thinking about the next couple of months 🎃, 🦃, 🎄. We just got back from visiting our son in Utah and while I was there I noticed a few of the trees in the mountains showing off their fall colors. Maybe knowing all of that, you’ll forgive me for posting a few sneak peak pics of something fun I’m working on. These Christmas stalkings are made from on old and tattered quilt. A little pop of color for your pup! I’m loving the way these dog bandanas/scarves turned out. Check the website for more details…XL =15 in., Large = 12, Medium 10.5 and small= 8 inch. A two inch pocket at the top makes them easily slide onto any dog collar. Coming soon in seasonal and football prints.

I’ve been working on piecing a quilt this week. Finished putting it together yesterday and I had a few scraps that I thought I’d piece together.
