Direct or indirect light? ☀️

We’re often told that aroids need indirect light, but it’s not always that simple and each species has different needs and this Philodendron is a good example

Rather than following a general rule, learn to observe how your plant responds to the light it receives ✨

There are things nobody tells you when you first start growing plants…

Like how a plant can lose all its leaves and still be alive?
Before you write it off as dead, check the stem and roots to see if you can still find firm, healthy tissue but also look for signs that there’s not much you can do anymore:

1️⃣ Completely rotten roots
2️⃣ Dry stems or tissue that’s falling apart

So before you say goodbye to your plant… take a good look at it, because it might still have a second chance✨
