I havent had much time this summer to work on rods but I recently completed an order for a buddy and his girlfriend back home for some special rods that I had a lot of fun building.
The Bean Pole is a rod to commemorate their recently lost pup, Gene.
The Intimate Stubby is a 6ft 2in Light Medium Heavy with an ultra short grip for getting up close and personal to cover

I couldn't help but notice something in the most recent cover of the Bassmaster magazine. Do you see the sharp bend in the line where the rod is doubled over? That is due to a poor guide train layout. That bend in the line is a potential failure point when fighting a big fish (causes increased friction). All ClarKustomz rodz are tested individually to ensure there are no drastic bends in the line when the rod is under load to ensure you have the highest chance of landing that fish of a lifetime!

This was such a fun build being able to combine my passion for rock/metal music and fishing! Robert Weston of The Funeral Portrait reached out wanting a KUSTOM rod and I'd say this might be my best work yet!

I opted to name this rod the "Voodoo Doll" after their song and one of my favorites Voodoo Doll for when you need a rod to allow you total and precise control over your bait, just like the lore of Voodoo Dolls.

The Okoboji 10K tournament is a wrap and a few anglers used their KUSTOM rodz for top 10 finishes. used his KUSTOM KO Finesse for a dropshot and neko rig while used his KUSTOM built Stryker MB765 for throwing a big jig for some big bites. These two anglers can not stop talking about how their KUSTOM rodz fish!

Life has been busy lately with work, tournaments, and taking care of things at home but I finally had some time to finish up a rod. Simple but elegant! Once again, another 6ft 8in M XF blank out the door!

It might have been walleye weekend up at the Iowa Great Lakes but Prairie Lakes Guide Service was putting the smackdown on some prespawn bass with his ClarKustomz jig and frog rod!
