Tonight at the Greenbrier State Park visitor center you can learn more about the Old South Mountain Inn 📍

TONIGHT!!!! Another important day in the history of the Old South Mountain Inn!

Besides its occupation of Rebels during the South Mountain Civil War Battle, the South Mountain Battlefield Communities are meeting with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Preservation Maryland to discuss the fate of the future of history.

It is called the “South Mountain House Open House,” but it is NOT at the stone landmark referred to as the “Old South Mountain Inn.” It is at the Greenbrier State Park Visitor Center at 5pm; 21843 National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713​​). Note: “National Pike (route 40)” not the “Old National Pike (Alt 40)”

It is the first time where the public is invited to learn more about the project, share your ideas, and help ensure the building’s future reflects the history, character, and NEEDS of the South Mountain region (Greenbrier State Park Visitor Center; 21843 National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713​​).
