Can you say AMAZING! Week 5 of Sewchella is history and these young ladies had a blast making our camp projects. While there are a number of projects to choose from each item is custom to the individual and comes out with a uniqueness all their own. Our camp tote is at the top of the billboards this year along with scrunchies and turtles -- oh my! These are in addition to the camisoles, shorts and skirts that the girls are wearing this year. What a great week.

Our fourth week of camp is one for the books. It was a week of diverse projects, interests, and experience. Everyone was excited and proud of what they accomplished. Our camp bag, shorts, tops (t-shirts), skirts, and two fun projects using fabric scraps -- turtles and a woven denim pouch -- were the projects this week. The turtles are this year's Charlies chicken. Amazing work!!

You may remember our sewist who was making stuffies to give away, right? Well, she has still been industrious over the last couple of months. Here she is sporting a unique jacket creation, using a pattern from CKC Patterns plus denim and lining fabric from JMIS. It was a labor of love that first started with a muslin for fit and accuracy. Then the finished item with its many pieces. We think it turned out fabulous - don't you agree?!

Pause for a scrolling and vacation break! Here are a few pictures from Week 3 of Sewchella! -- our Summer Sewing Camp. Pictured here are the tote (in the shape of a vinyl record with camp logo), flower purses, drop shoulder tops, skirts, summer camisoles, and a gathered, tiered skirt. Most of the girls had no sewing experience before working with us and see what they accomplished! Great Job!!!

One of our very creative sewists just finished her one shoulder t-shirt. Also she upcycled, refashioned, and embellished her pants . She did a reverse applique at a Fashion Camp week at FIT. She has been enjoying sewing for many years with us. On to more and bigger things! Well done!

Sewchella! Camp week #2. This amazing group of girls who loved to sew and sew they did! This week the girls made the camp tote bag with camp logo, pleated skirts, interesting knit tops, fly front zip shorts, "admission" wrist band and more! This week even featured fun trivia questions at lunch!

Sewchella has begun!!! First camp of the season is now in the history books. New project with new students are the name of the endeavor. This group gets to be the first in tackling and creating this year's items -- and adding their own signature twists. Shown here are the bags, tops, shorts, even an entrance bracelet and (not pictured) scrunchies and faux fur pillow that this group chose from among the projects available. Want to get in on the fun? We love it when students finish new projects. This is the first garment this sewist has made, having first taken the Intro with us and now finishing her pants. She wanted something she could wear to work and choose the Saguaro pattern from Friday pattern company and a Lady McElroy crepe in navy, both of which came from the shop. This would also look great in one of our new linen fabrics. Fantastic job! 💕
