Good Filling Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we share this news: Good Filling will be closing its operations. To be fully transparent with you, we have faced numerous challenges (especially with our legacy business) over the last few months that have made it increasingly difficult to sustain our growth and achieve our goals.

While we are deeply saddened by this decision, we remain incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished. Our team has poured their hearts, souls, blood, sweat and tears into Good Filling, and we are grateful for their dedication, commitment and perseverance.

Since 2020, Good Filling has been at the forefront of the reuse movement.

We have invented solutions to reduce packaging waste, to save consumers money, to improve access to CPG products, and to promote a more sustainable future. Our team has worked tirelessly to develop and bring to market a first-of-its-kind technology that provides consumers with a convenient, affordable and eco-friendly alternative to single-use packaging.

Our efforts have been recognized, celebrated and awarded by our peers. We’ve partnered with industry leaders in: multi-family real estate, hotel and office businesses, home care manufacturers, personal care manufacturers, beverage distributors, software companies, grocery stores, zero-waste stores, hardware providers and even state governments.

Good Filling has provided hope during an uncertain time for refilling, reuse and plastic waste. Our creativity and hard work has resulted in patent filings and valuable IP, necessary for pushing forward the reuse movement and shifting us away from a take-make-waste economy. It’s shaped conversations about scaling the circular economy and about the best systems to do so. We are immensely proud of our achievements and the positive impact we have made on our communities and the environment. There have been many hopeful moments that make this decision all the more difficult.

We believe that our knowledge, experience, and intellectual property can contribute to the advancement of the circular economy–and we intend to continue tackling the issue of plastic waste however we can. If you’re also taking on this important challenge, we genuinely want to share our insights and resources with you, so that they too may be reused.

This month, we're celebrating 4 Years of Good Filling! 🥳 From laying down our roots in Boston to bringing Good Filling Stations to buildings across the country, it's been an incredible ride.

Our founder Petros was inspired by his own journey to reduce waste and went on to develop the world's first distributed refill service that we now know and love as Good Filling.

Since our early days in 2020, we have revolutionized the sustainable shopping experience with our patent-pending technology and are proud to work with sustainable brands that want to join us in reducing packaging waste.

Seriously...what's the hold-up? 🤔 Last month, a report revealed that it will take longer than planned for companies responsible for a third of U.S. plastics packaging to meet their environmental goals. 🎯

In 2020, major brands committed to the U.S. Plastics Pact with ambitious targets to minimize plastic waste. However, these efforts have prioritized recycling, while overlooking the massive potential of reuse systems!

Now, with many deadlines pushed from 2025 to 2030, we can't help but wonder...if reuse and reduction of plastic had been a focus from the start, would companies be hitting their goals sooner? What are your thoughts? 💭
