Reuse Pavilion Week 2 Recap! ♻️

With the Free Shed deconstructed, BAC students began work on the pavilion structure. They spent the day framing, fastening pieces together, and putting recovered materials back into use. Salvaged doors, cedar shingles, and reclaimed plywood are already taking shape into the pavilion's first walls!

The session was led by Kord Jablonski, former Executive Director of BBR and current Interim Executive Director of The Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts.

Reuse Pavilion Week 1 Recap! ♻️

Over the next few months, students from Boston Architectural College's Gateway Office will be transforming our free shed into a Reuse Pavilion, using only green building methods and design. This past week, BAC students kicked off the project by learning how to deconstruct the shed and properly recover reusable materials. Stay tuned for more weekly Reuse Pavilion updates every Friday!

Last week, we were deeply honored to have received the 2026 Legacy Small Business Award from the City of Boston, plus an Official Citation from the Massachusetts State Senate naming us "a flourishing pillar of the Second Suffolk District and the City of Boston."

In the spirit of Pride Month, BBR is in search of instructors who identify as LGBTQ+ to join our community of educators!

Details:
💰Compensation available for 2 or 4 hour workshops
🏳️‍🌈 Dates in June are flexible! (Time slots include: Fridays from 6-8 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM- 2 PM or 11 AM - 1 PM)
🛠️Topics open to ALL TRADES plus Woodworking, Reupholstery, Mending Textiles, Household Maintenance, and more!
🖌️Salvaged or Reused Art Forms welcome (Collage, Painting Found Objects, Sculpture, etc.)
