Fall is here, and we’ve got plenty of pumpkins waiting for you! 🎃 Stop by and grab yours today!
Whether you’re carving, decorating, or cooking, pumpkins are the ultimate fall staple. One of my favorite childhood fall traditions was when my mom made tortitas de calabaza (Puerto Rican pumpkin fritters)—a delicious, sweet, and creamy treat.
If you want to try something new with your pumpkin this season, check out this simple recipe:
Tortitas de Calabaza (Pumpkin Fritters)
Ingredients:
2 cups mashed pumpkin (West Indian pumpkin or butternut squash)
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup canola oil (for frying)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed pumpkin until a smooth batter forms.
Heat oil in a skillet to 365°F.
Drop batter by the tablespoon into the oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Serve warm and enjoy!
(Tip: You can use canned or frozen pumpkin to save time!)
Come pick out your perfect pumpkin today—we’d love to see you!
